Purpose: This bill would authorize the display of the national motto, “In God We Trust” in public buildings throughout the state. The bill would require the State Building Commission to develop guidelines for the display. The bill would also authorize the display of the POW-MIA flag at public buildings.

Committee Action: The Committee on Finance reported a Committee Substitute that incorporates the amendment from the Committee of Government Organization. The committee substitute made additional technical and clarifying changes.
